African Engineering Services (AES) and Eagle Metal Fabrication (Eagle) have agreed to join forces with effect from 4th of August. The collaboration enables an expansion of the operation with new services delivered from the Solwezi-based workshop.
Eagle was set up in 2016 as a joint venture between Kukula Seed and WJ Engineering to service clients in NW Province at their doorstep. Over the past 4 years more than 1,000 jobs for 60 different clients have been serviced by a team of 25 dedicated employees. “We are really proud of what we have built so far and look forward to expand further and being able to service our clients even better through AES” says Maxwell Chanda, Workshop Manager at Eagle.
“AES has been looking to establish a strong presence in NW Province for a while and we believe that this is a great fit with Eagle’s wish to expand and offer more services especially within hydraulic reconditions, which is our specialty” says Hennie Potgieter, Managing Director of AES. AES has until now only been Kitwe based but services clients throughout Zambia and DRC. The expansion enables AES to be even closer to its customers and the duel workshop setup will allow for faster turnaround times and a broader spectrum of services offered.
