Established in 2009, Kukula Capital began as one of Zambia’s first locally founded private-equity initiatives. Tue Nyobe Andersen
Managing Director
Co-founder and Managing Director. MSc Economics, University of Copenhagen. Over 20 years’ experience in capital markets and SME investments, leading Kukula’s strategic growth and partnerships.

Niels Bojsen
Managing Director
Co-founder and Managing Director with 20+ years of experience in corporate finance, M&A, and institutional investment management across Zambia and internationally.

Mphaso Banda
Partner
Partner with experience in corporate finance, investment research, and due diligence. Holds a BCom (Hons) in Finance from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Darryl Higgins
Partner
Partner with a background in equity research, risk analysis, and corporate finance. Holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from Durham University.

Jeremy Alexander Mwafulilwa
Senior Associate
Senior Associate with over 8 years in Zambia’s capital markets. MSc in Financial Risk Management. Leads transaction execution and investor relations.

Faheemah Bhagoo
Junior Associate
Associate focused on business fundraising and financial management. MSc in Management with USAID programme experience supporting enterprise growth and impact.

Gavin Kanyika
Senior Analyst
Analyst with a BCom in Economics. Experienced in corporate banking, fintech, and business development, supporting Kukula’s advisory and asset management divisions.
Tue Nyobe Andersen
Managing Director
Tue is co-founder and Managing Director of Kukula Capital. He holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. He has acquired significant regional experience with + 10 years in venture capital, institutional asset management and corporate finance in Zambia.
Niels Bojsen
Managing Director
Niels is co-founder and Managing Director of Kukula Capital and Kukula Seed. With a BSc. in International Business at Copenhagen Business School Denmark, he acquired +10 years of notable leadership positions. He holds experience in finance and institutional asset management.
Szymon Starosta
Partner
Szymon joined Kukula in 2018. He has extensive experience in real estate, construction and project management. He previously worked for the Sable Conglomerate on their Pioneer Cement Plant Project and was Project Development Manager for the Foxdale Forrest Housing Project. Szymon is responsible for deal origination and pipeline development.
Darryl Higgins
Partner
Darryl joined Kukula in 2022. He holds a BSc. in Accounting and Finance from the Durham University. He has extensive experience in equity research, and financial and risk analysis. He is responsible for origination activities and investment research.
Mphaso Banda
Partner
Mphaso joined Kukula in 2021. He holds a BCom Honours in Finance from the University of the Witwatersrand. He has diverse experience in corporate finance and investment research. At Kukula, his focus areas include due diligence, financial modelling, and investment research.
Chilufya Mweze
Investment Associate
Chilufya joined Kukula in 2021. She is an MBA holder from the University of Lusaka. She has vast experience in Corporate Relationship Banking and Business Development. She offers support to the Asset Management and Corporate Advisory divisions
Stephen Banda
Head of Accounts and Compliance
Stephen joined Kukula in 2020. He holds an MBA from the University of Zambia. He is also ACCA qualified and a member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants. He has a background in finance, audit and fund administration.
Lumbani Msoni
Compliance Officer
Lumbani joined Kukula in 2016. She holds an MSc. in Project Management from the University of Lusaka. She has broad ERM and project management experience. She oversees risk management and compliance at Kukula.
Martin Sampa
Senior Accountant
Martin joined Kukula in 2016. Holder of a CA qualification and member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants. With experience in financial accounting and compliance, his focus lay in financial reporting and accounting. His primary role is as Senior Accountant for Bresmar Building Materials.
Chilufya joined Kukula in 2021. She is an MBA holder from the University of Lusaka. She has vast experience in Corporate Relationship Banking and Business Development. She offers support to the Asset Management and Corporate Advisory divisions
Amanda Kalebwe
Administrative Assistant
Amanda joined Kukula in 2022. She has vast experience in administration and management; her responsibilities lie in key administration duties and overall organizational efficiencies across divisions.
